Dunno if this is related or not, but on our development system running 5.0,
we see about a session per week that gets hung up and cannot be aborted
short of restarting the system. The method of getting them locked up varies,
but the result is always the same; a session shows in :SHOWJOB, a :SHOWPROC
on the session reports no processes; some resource(s) or file(s) are left
locked. Often the sessions were executing in the posix shell (and more often
than not doing some sort of directory operations - cd/mkdir/rmdir/etc),
though a large number are MPE sessions (VT connections) from PCs that get
reset/rebooted.
We've tried all the :ABORTJOBS/:NSCONTROL killsess/even :NSCONTROL STOP and
:NETCONTROL stop but they don't go away.
If your sessions DO finally go away, then it's probably something different;
in our case it's always taken a system restart to remove them.
