We switch internally, etc and use subnetting extensively.
 
With Novell 3.xx & 4.xx we are using a bootp nlm to dynamically deal out an IP address for external
networking. Works beaut. with DOS xxx and Windows 3.xx.
 
Gotcha is Win95.  DHCP used by Win95 doesn't use the bootp request, apparently.  Need to set up the old table
on your local Unix host to resolve the request for an IP number.  Just enter your LAN card Ethernet address
and a unique (legal) IP address for the DNS resolver. Win95 then works seamlessly.  Some guru will no doubt
 write a bootp nlm for the DHCP request from Win95.  We'll wait for that to happen....
