Jon - The renewal notice includes Hardware. Your comments made me look
more closely and yes - the Hardware is listed as ending support 04/30/02
and is just a prorated amount.
Sorry for the wasted bandwidth.

Bill,
The official end of hardware support for the 9x7 is still April
2002 according to the chart included with Winston's letter in November.
What version of MPE/iX are you running? You can continue with O/S
support and drop the hardware support so that may be why you got the
mis-leading letter.
Thanx,
Jon

Subject: [HP3000-L] HP Support Contracts
We are still running a 957RX box and our HP support contract is due to
expire before the eol date this April. I received a support
notification in the mail outlining the costs associated with renewal for
the next 12 months.
I've been out of pocket for a great deal of December and need to know if
I missed something. Is this offer from HP to renew support on my 957
for the next year really valid? Does anyone else have a similar
situation?
Maybe it is just wishful thinking on my part.
