Thanks for the reply...I have "use default check on remote network"
checked in all 3 cases. I need it set that way so that when I come
through and subsequently try to do email, it is all going through the
site 1 cable access. In 2 situations, that is what happens...but from
home, it does not. Since it never did work from home, I assumed the
same would be true everywhere else. And I have read that this is the
desired outcome (normally) to not allow access over the remote
gateway to the Internet. So I am confused (short trip) by this lack
of consistency...Tom

Tom,

I am not an networking expert.

One thing you may want to check, is

In network connections, right click on the network, and go to properties.

Select TCP/IP protocol and click "properties"

Choose the advance button and see if you have the "use default on the remote network" checked.
