Ernie,

The fast file transfer may fix the problem, however, this may be due to the version of the Reflections file transfer program on your 3000. Look for PCLINK2 or PCLINK# in PUB.SYS. If you update this program with the latest one that came with you current version of Reflections it will probably work fine in fast mode. You may also get additional feature like browsing the 3000 file system from the file transfer window. Look on the CD for a folder called Host Programs or something like that. If you current file transfer works you can upload it with the labels option. Otherwise you will need to FTP it and then alt the file to change the file code, rec type, etc. There should be instructions on the CD...it has been a while since I did it.

If you are using Reflections file transfer it is not likely a network issue because Reflections file transfer uses your current connection to the 3000 for sending the file. It runs the PCLINK program on the 3000 to interface with the system.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Reflection file transfer

Greetings,

I have a 939(K) ver. 6.5 with PP3 that I cannot do a Reflection file
transfer on.

We are running Reflection version 11.

It's been working fine for nearly 10 years now it takes about 10 seconds
to
establish a host connection, then just starts timing out.

It appears sluggish when I log on but I don't have Glance so I can't get
a good
real-time picture of CPU usage.

My disc space is good....
