Our company, Fortuna Communications, publishes a magazine and a newspaper
that we mail from our printing plant. We're using FirstLogic's PostalSoft
Desktop Mailer (www.firstlogic.com) for address correction and postal presort.

After the subscription fulfillment is performed on the HP3000, we ftp the
subscriber files to a pc that runs the FirstLogic application. The
addresses are corrected and standardized, assigned ZIP+4, delivery points
and carrier routes, and then presorted. The files are then exported and
ftp'ed to an inkjet unit in our Printing Plant that prints the endorsement
line, name and address, and barcode on the publications.

Desktop Mailer prints out the CASS certification and presort reports you
need to provide the Post Office. It can also print barcoded addresses on
your labels, letters, forms, etc.

Desktop Mailer can also perform merge/purge processing against your mailing
lists.

FirstLogic sends a new national directory database out every 60 days.

We've found the FirstLogic software to be of excellent quality. The same
goes for their technical and customer support.
