> Is there any INFORM/V SIG, E-mail list, etc. for INFORM/V?

Yup. SIGRAPID still has "ownership" of INFORM.
Interex maintains a standard listserv for SIGRAPID; address is:
[log in to unmask]

If you want to send a message to the SIGRAPID Chairperson,
you can send e-mail to: [log in to unmask]

For the first time in many years INFORM just received a major
enhancement: The ability to specify the same ITEM NAME from
different datasets in one INFORM group. This allows you to do
some very handy "equal" and "not equal" comparisons; which
is something that QUERY cannot do (at least not yet). The new
and improved INFORM is on the Express 4 release of 5.5.

SIGRAPID will be meeting at IPROF-98 in March.

> Anyone use it? Looking for tricks & techniques, etc.

Our staff and users still run INFORM every day. For quick and
easy basic *textual* data retrieval and reporting it's hard to beat.
If you want to do fancy graphics/color and more complex data
retrieval and output on the 3000, then QueryCalc would be in
order.

> I have the reference manual.

That's what we've got.
