We have bridge/routers on our private WAN, the configuration of which
includes MAC filtering.

Some time ago the tables got corrupt in one of the boxes which meant that
some users could not establish 2 way communication.

i.e. half of the conversation was being lost.

I THINK that the error seen was 39.

We re-booted the bridge/routers at each end and the problem went away.
