Hi All,

Just took a look at the e-services scenarios on HP's website. I find the whole
concept frightening and bizarre. Just the thought of all these little e-services
chaining together to do all this "stuff" in the background, outside my immediate
control sends a shiver down my spine. I know that these scenarios are a kind of
"idealised vision" of what could be achieved but....

Do I really want to cede control of that much of my life to a bunch of software?
What would happen if in the chain of e-services, someone has made an error in
the configuration... What would be the effects? The fact that it's "so"
automatic is rather scary. It would be so fast that you wouldn't get a chance to
correct the errors.

This e-services thing has the potential to be really good but at the same time
it has the potential to be a real monster! The hackers would have a field-day
putting up fake services to throw the whole infrastructure in chaos.

FWIW my 0.01 pounds sterling.
