I also agree with this. Fortunately, when we rewrote our systems in the
late 80's in PowerHouse, we added the century to all date fields.
Our problem is going to be data capture and display of dates. Most
fields on screens allow for dates to be captured as 010199, or 01/01/99.

Now I know that PowerHouse has all sorts of formats for allowing display
and capture - with or without the century - but where will we get the
screen real estate for an extra 2 characters.

And we will certainly still have character based terminals/emulators
running in three years time.

Oh well, there's work ahead!
