Anthony,

the Interex user group has a very nice (ongoing) series written by
George Stachnik in their Interact publication (now part of Enterprise
Solutions Magazine). See www.interex.org for details. I guess you will
not get web access without being an Interex member, but it will most
probably be worth the user group membership fee.

Long ago when I started with the HP 3000 (okay okay, "long" for me
is probably far from "long" for other members of this forum ;-) the
"Getting Started as an MPE/iX Programmer" manual seemed quite helpful
to me. Don't get mislead by the title, it's not just useful for the
programmer folks, it does start with simple things like logon, file
system and account structure, using an editor, general info about
TurboIMAGE databases and KSAM files, etc etc. Simply skip the parts
that discuss compiling and linking programs if you're not interested
in those.

Lars.

PS... The manual should be at the http://docs.hp.com web site, too.
