First, let me recommend that you visit the Yr2000 web pages
on Jazz (at http://jazz.external.hp.com/year2000/index.html). From
there, you'll find a link to a page that lists all the Yr2K patches
associated with both 5.5 & 6.0. Perhaps you should consider
going up on 6.0 & obtaining a few reactive patches from HP's
Electronic Support Center (at http://us-support.external.hp.com/).

Both releases are very good. 5.5 will be supported through the
year 2000; 6.0 will be supported significantly longer than that.

I am about to take delivery on a 917 to do Y2K testing. It will have 5.5 on
it. I was going to immediately load 6.0 to do the testing.

Now I have been told I should go to PowerPatch 6, instead of 6.0 since PP6
is more up-to-date than 6.0. Or I should wait for the first PowerPatch of
6.0.

Any ideas/opinions.
