A good general overview of HPPA-HP3000 hardware architecture and some OS
architecture is BEYOND RISC from Software Research Northwest(206-935-3100).
Also around 1984-85 timeframe there were some papers presented at INTEREX
regarding the MPE iX architecture, mostly file system  believe. Did your
management have any specific architectural concerns?
