Ok, with all the flap over the V.U.F.'s, someone please
try to answer this "simple" question for me:
. Why does the logon banner, and the output of a SHOWME
list my "Release" as "C.55.00" even after upgrading to
pp1 back in December, and pp2 this evening?
The HPSWINFO.PUB.SYS file shows the powerpatches
being installed by me. All of the V.U.F.'s that I've checked
appear to be correct for the appropriate patches installed.
No errors were given during the upgrade or subsequent
restarts, etc (although I still can't run ODE as I keep
getting a missing SYSLIB file error. One of these days
I'll have to figure out why this is, but I can live without ODE).
So, I'm confused. I expected to see Release: C.55.02, but
it didn't change (not like I had C.55.01 after pp1 was installed
though, so I'm not shocked!)
Any thoughts?
P.S. I do have a Seagate ST19171N (9GB) drive up and
running (although not stressed yet). It *is* supported
under 5.5 pp2 according to the docs that came with the
PowerPatch tape.
