Isn't it seen as significant that HP replaced their big blue
world-wide network hosts with HP3000s ... not HP9000s?

I'm in the market for a 9x9 to replace our woefully overloaded
957 and local HP was only too happy to spend time with me
assessing configuration and upgrade options ... and only quite
late in the piece did I get a sheepish " .... you're probably
not going to be excited about this, but for the sake of
investment protection, you might want to know that we sell a
conversion kit for 3000-to-9000 ... "

FWIW,
Ron (who already knew that but shudders at the thought ...
whatta way to waste a good machine!)
