While I love Wichita, I don't see it as a viable candidate. Yes, they
have held conventions of 7500-10000 people and they are ideally located,
the air service is the worst in the country in terms of cost and
convenience of flights. The public transportation is virtually
non-existent and the number of cabs available is the ghastly! Finally,
the "convention center" is located away from "Old Towne" - the premier
place in the city to visit and experience the nightlife of Kansas.
May I suggest Kansas City (either Missouri or Kansas), Tulsa or Oklahoma
City?
