I had the displeasure a few years ago of working in an environment where two
VPs who despised each other, with one responsible for maintenance of the
system, and the other responsible for enhancements of this same system. Most
of us avoided being ground between these two millstones, but heard tell
stories of epic battles between these two over whether any given change was
one or the other.
