Hi Jeff and Everyone Else Who Replied :)
Jeff's answer led to the solution... and it worked wonders!!!
We can now tell a VT session from a terminal session with relative
ease.... granted the software should be re-written but... we aren't going
there (it's the boss' software!) hehehe
Thanks for all the help everyone... I learned a bunch of details thanks to
all the posts...
