Once installed, interactive sftp isn't much different than ftp. You connect with server and user (e.g.: sftp [log in to unmask]) and enter a password. Once connected, the usual ftp commands (cd, chmod, dir, get, etc.) all work. The difference is the secure data transmission and the ability to set up public key and private keys. Running the sftp client in batch on the HP3000 is another story. From my experience, you must set up and exchange keys to successfully run in batch.

I am more than able to assist with your project.

Subject: [HP3000-L] SFTP usage

Does anyone have a simple SFTP example that you can share.
All I want is something that shows how to open the connection, diplay a listing of the current directory and then end the connection.
TIA, Mike
