I've noticed some strange behavior with the POSIX subsystem and the 'kill'
command.
If you try to kill a PID that you don't own, you get an 'Operation not
permitted' which is fine.
However, even if you're logged in as MANAGER.SYS with system manager privs,
you still can't kill a PID you don't own. (Although you can abortjob a job
you don't own). The *only* way to kill a PID is if you're logged in as the
exact same user/account as the owner of the PID. For accounts which only
have BA and not IA, this poses an obvious problem ;)
On Unix anyway, if you are 'root' (UID 0 GID 0) you can kill any PID. Is
there an equivalent user on MPE?
