Possibly late in replying, but...
On an HP 3000/918 we've been using one for quite awhile with no problems (as
ldev 1).
Disk drives we're using on 9x7 and 9x8 machines:
lisa:
1-C2490AM 2 GB MASTER MEMBER1 $SYS
2-C2490AM 2 GB MEMBER MEMBER2 $SYS
4-ST15230 4 GB MASTER FOO1 FOO
13-ST19171 9 GB MASTER FUM1 FUM
tiktok:
1-ST34573N 4 GB MASTER MEMBER1 $SYS
3-ST39140N 9 GB MASTER MSET1 MSET
lion:
1-ST34520N 4 GB MASTER MEMBER1 $SYS
31-ST39140N 9 GB MASTER BIG1 BIG
32-ST118273N 18 GB MEMBER BIG2 BIG
33-ST39140N 9 GB MEMBER BIG3 BIG
34-ST136403LW 36 GB MEMBER BIG4 BIG
scraps:
1-ST34520N 4 GB MASTER MEMBER1 $SYS
Note: all are on a Single-Ended SCSI chain.
Note: "GB" above is closer to "billions of bytes" than
GigaBytes (1,073,741,824).
All of the Seagate drives (the ones beginning with "ST") were
bought off-the-shelf from various vendors (www.pricewatch.com).
