For readers planning on attending HPW-LA in September
but have not locked in hotel yet:

Hyatt Regency LA is one of the three "official" Interex
hotels. Interex rate is $174 per night single.

*BUT*: If go direct to Hyatt "internet special" URL
for this Hyatt hotel (watch wrap):

http://losangelesregency.hyatt.com/reservations/flow4/soSelectedHotelRates.j
html?_requestid=293996

... they still have rooms direct from Hyatt for $108
(had some down to only $88 not long ago, but they appear
to be all gone now (darn) )... anyway, why pay $174 per
night when $108 per night (while they last) is just as
easy if not easier...

While there are a number of (theoretical) "three star"
hotels within 3/4 mile or so of the above Hyatt (Holiday
Inn and such) that can be had on the net for down to
$70 or so (plus **14** percent hotel room tax in LA...
;-(( ), I'm thinking this might turn out to be a "busy"
HPW... So just this once I "splurged" and forked over
the extra $38 per night to save extra walking / transit
time...
