Since STR Software Company is a member of the Hewlett-Packard Computing
Solution Provider Program (CSPP), we have been encouraged by HP to update
our listing at their web site. We have received at least four phone calls
and several e-mails to do so in the past two weeks.
Our marketing department was doing so for both our FAX/3000 and FaxCommander
products. With a puzzled look, they showed me the setup screens on the HP
web site. Imagine my surprise to learn that under the "Supported Server
Hardware" section that the HP 3000 (or HP e3000, your choice) isn't listed
as a computer platform. Ironically, MPE is listed in the section of
"Development/Deployment Operating Systems". So what should a loyal HP 3000
vendor such as STR Software Company select for a hardware solution if the HP
3000 isn't an available choice?
