The word "plague" does conjure up negative connotations. Why a
"fatalistic view"? From an extinct species point-of-view? Certainly
not from a human point of view. I can't think of an instance where a
plague species has eliminated it self completely by growing in
population to plague proportions. Though at some point there is bound
to be a correction. Maybe you were thinking of a personal fatalistic
view?

Well, isn't that interesting! Overlooking the fact that it is a
website written for kids to explain the Christian Bible in terms that
they can understand, I personally find it a bit too egocentric and
self serving.

We could turn this into a discussion about religion, or just
"religion", but my experience and history teaches me that down that
path lies misery and hate. And as a teenage son of a friend of mine
explains what he has been taught as a member of a Catholic youth
group, the contradictions and failings of God in the Christian Bible
are because the "Bible" was written in parables, and only a priest
that has spent his life dedicated to deciphering the true meaning of
the "Bible", can truly understand it and educate the lay people as to
God's true nature and what he demands of his followers.

But then, don't all worshipers of the god of Abraham (Jews,
Christians, Muslims) have their own sects and truths that are worth
killing heretics and dying for? One might think that *religion* was
God's way of creating random population control.

I'm not sure what all this has to do with Carly (anyone claiming her
to be the anti-Christ?), but it has been spirited! Maybe an new OT
thread is in order?

Pete
