Note: There is *NO* way to get a list of installed patches :(

You can get a list of probably complete list of patches by looking at
the HPSWINFO.PUB.SYS file.

However, note that this file is not protected, and could be overwritten by,
say, an incorrect RESTORE request.

If Nov 14 hadn't happened, I'd be agitating to get a mechanism that would
reliably list all patches. (E.g., a file that's empty after an INSTALL,
and which gets appended to by all patch methods, and is always protected
so it can't be restored over.)

Of course, *even then*, you wouldn't be guaranteed that it correctly
reflects all patches. E.g., if SPTXL.PUB.SYS had been patched, and you then
:RESTOREd an older copy on top of it, even that patch tracking mechanism
might miss it (although it ought to be able to determine that that had
happened!)

Note that we're essentially in the same boat as HP-UX here,
whereas Linux (RedHat) has a better patch tracking mechanism.
