Evan wrote that he wanted to know why I wanted to do what I did.

Good question.

I had a MS-Access table that was used to accumulate data (prospect names,
addresses, etc...) quick and dirty on the PC. You can slap together a form
and a table in MS-Access in about 1.57 minutes.

I wanted the accumulated data on the HP3000 and did not want to write
programs to download the data. So, I experimented. Now I can create a
MS-Access form in a few seconds on the PC accessing a table in Allbase or an
IMAGE dataset.

Now it seems that I can use all the neat products in MS Access to query,
report on, add, delete and update the data in a IMAGE table, all without progr
amming.

Data transfer is also very simple.

Evan, I like your comments about the security issue, and I agree with them
completely. However, since I am a small shop, I can go out and try these
things, and figure the security later.

Kind regards,

Denys. . .
