Hi Fred & Bob :)
The 979 supports 512 mb modules.... we have quite a few in ours....

You might be having troubles with the simms themselves like Fred pointed
out.... we did the first time we tried it... Tim & I religiously ground
strap ourselves whenever we do memory on either our 928 or 979.... (tho' we
haven't had to sacrifice any SFA's lately! hehe) also... we found that
sometimes if you have not pulled out the memory carrier in a long time that
you may need to pull out and reseat it a few times to get the 979 to like
the memory... this is after correctly setting up the memory on the carrier
as per the guide (the URL was posted yesterday)

Art "can I get a 512 simm for my brain? hehehe" Bahrs
