Yes, my contribution is from my own pocket, and no, it won't be a business
deduction. I currently am working on a non-HP platform but still have a lot of
love and respect for the HP 3000. Someday I'd like to get back to it again, and
I hope it's still around by then. The $37 I committed to a couple of days ago
is a bit of a stretch for me at present, but my check will go out tomorrow
because this is something in which I believe strongly.
BTW, I really appreciated the things Winston Prather said and I'm glad someone
like him is working to enhance the 3000's position within HP. But I still think
the ad campaign is a good idea. If nothing else, it ought to demonstrate to his
management that he has a loyal user base with which to work.

I still insist on spending your scarce budget dollars on enhancing a
variety of skills instead of staying limited to the mpeix operating system.
More often than not projects require a mix bag of tools and operating systems to
make them a reality.
Winston Prather spoke. Let's see what happens.
Wirt, nice advertisement I must admit. I can't equate the HP3000 to a
"Database engine". Are you referring to "Image"? I know that there is not one
without the other but I think that the word Image would be well placed there.
One question. Is anybody contributing money out of their own pocket, that is not
a business deduction? :)
