Am trying to develop some scripts to replicate the html/gif/js files comprising
a website from one machine to another and am falling foul of FTP. The "best"
error I get is this one...

F/APACHE(MGR)/PUB>ftp.arpa.sys < ftpscr
File Transfer Protocol [A0008E27] (C) Hewlett-Packard Co. 1990
ftp> open 172.21.1.1
220 HP ARPA FTP Server [A0008H27] (C) Hewlett-Packard Co. 1990
Connected to hp937.speeur.sony.com (172.21.1.1). (FTPINFO 40)
ftp> user MGR.APACHE
331 Password required for MGR.APACHE. Syntax: ,acctpass

230 User logged on
Remote system type is MPE/iX.
200 Type set to I.
ftp> bytestream
200 Type set to L (byte size 8).
ftp> get /APACHE/PUB/htdocs/xmi/gif/apache_pb.gif
REMOTE ABORTED THE CONNECTION. (SOCKERR 64)
Not connected. (FTPERR 8)
u_ipc_send error
INVALID CONNECTION DESCRIPTOR. (SOCKERR 66)
FTP/XL Unknown Error Detected. Error = 66
Not connected. (FTPERR 8)
INVALID CONNECTION DESCRIPTOR. (SOCKERR 66)
ftp> quit

There's absolutely nothing in FTPLOG.ARPA.SYS to give more information on this
error and the $stdlist of FTPMON has
no indication of what's going on. This could be an ftp client error, or an ftp
server error...or both.. I just can't tell.

This is just sooooo frustrating! Just when I thought HP Software quality was
good :-(
