Yes, back when they were DISCs and not DISKs.  IBM and DEC made DISKs - HP
made DISCs :)  HP also made "Flexible Discs" - everyone else had "Floppy
Disks".  Even HP's 3.5" floppies, were originally Flexible Discs :)

The 79xx removable discs also made incredible frisbees after you took one
apart, after it's useful life had expired (like when one spilled a Coke on a
removable volume).
