Is anyone out there successfully using MPE/iX 5.5 network printing to print
to HP Laserjet 5Si printers (with Jetdirect cards)???

We are having problems with anything longer than a dozen or so pages...what
appears to be timeouts of some sort (as well as occasional messages about
invalid PJL sequences being received from the printers).

I've got an open HPRC call; just curious if there was anyone out there using
them successfully. The only references in the 3000-l archives was Ted trying
them, and he ended up resorting to a third party spooling package.

We've tried enabling/disabling pjl, jam recovery, and snmp -- all to no
avail. Short reports print ok (mostly). The spooler "hangs" (spooler n;show
shows waiting on EOD) while a spoolfile shows active and nothing prints.
The spooler has to be stopped/restarted to get it printing again, and the
operators get tired after 30 or 40 resets each day... ;-(
