Richard Gambrell refreshes my memory to say:

A bond-fide HP terminal at that (curses dependent, defaults hp2392a)

> - I recall there is a patch for patch/ix that came out soon after 5.5.

5.5 pull or PP1, I don't recall which

> - Be sure the current group is in the HPPATH for manager.sys.

This one is cryptic. Xavier's 967 had a "root"-like HPPATH without the
current path in HPPATH. The failure mode is that patch/ix or stage/ix
cannot put the tape drive online (if you're cutting a tape) and fails
to make a CSLT/store tape.

The patches go in PATCHXL. You must be logged on in INSTALL.SYS and any
patch trucks downloaded from the HP ESC must be in INSTALL.
