Ashvin,

You can either use the WHO intrinsic (bits 12:2 of the first parameter =
01 for session and 10 for job) or the HPCIGETVAR intrinsic (variable
name is HPJOBTYPE, returns 'S' for session and 'J' for job).

Subject: [HP3000-L] job vs. session

All,
I have a question - I have a need to know if the program is being run
from a session or from a batch job within a COBOL program. Is there an
intrinsic that I can call to find out whether the program is running
from a session or from a batch job.

Thanks!
