Right on target - ALL 256x printers use what is known as a "core bar" which
is the logical equivalent of a gang of print heads.  Excellent Excellent
Excellent printers and just a dumb dumb dumb decision on HP's part to drop
them.

BPS: I still think it translates into "baud" or "bytes" per second not "bits"
- "Baud" if I remember right is usable bytes (ie: no control bytes).  Long
time no think about!

Re: "scrap yard prices" - afraid so - these printers are going really CHEAP!
