Tracy Johnson chided the good people at Telenomics for not
spelling my name correctly.

I appreciate the concern Tracy - but please, give them a
break. They're not the first ones to trip over my Slavic
handle. When I got married 19 years ago, my wife decided
to keep her maiden name (which is "Rising"). She said
it was because she didn't feel comfortable using a name
that she couldn't spell.

I can't say that I blame her. More than once I've
given serious thought to changing *my* name to match hers.
(George Rising? Hm, if I ever go into show business...)
