Subject: NT on HP

According to the "Notes From the Field" column in Infoworld's 9/16 issue:

"A sales rep for HP said the company will support NT on its "minicomputer
boxes.""

Are they talking "minicomputer" as in HP3000, or "minicomputer" as in HP9000?

I have a feeling that sales rep had their head where it didn't belong and
thought that an Intel Server (HP's NetServer series) was a minicomputer.

NT is running on HP's NetServers. There have been experiments, but no
announcements for either 3000 or 9000 support. (Hey! Maybe they
can dust off an old HP300, (that's 300, not 3000), juice it up, and call
THAT a minicomputer which runs NT! - Nah! I think I lack of sleep is
catching up with me).

(I HATE the term minicomputer - the HP3000 is MAINFRAME class!)
