Did you verify that the items in LINKAGE SECTION match those in the
PROCEDURE DIVISION USING?
Since the TAPPI-START-POS-CM is the last item in LINKAGE, there's a good
chance that it's not being passed via the USING clause.
Also, did the COPYLIB definition for TAPPI change recently?
If items are defined in LINKAGE and not passed via the USING clause, you
will see this error the first time you access them. Does this process
access other 'TAPPI' variables?
