now the White House planners try the same for the visit in the UK.

White House planners were reported Monday to be pressing British
authorities to virtually shut down most of central London during Bush's
visit, as opponents of the Iraq war line up a full program of big
demonstrations.

Last February an estimated one million people marched through London in the
run-up to the US-led invasion of Iraq, in one of the biggest street
protests ever seen in the capital.
