Every time I put a message up on this topic I get a friendly reminder
from MB Foster that they offer an ODBC solution. It may be worthwhile
looking into. I'm starting to think it may be worthwile for me to
look into it.

Good luck, Bob.

Bob: I've used both HP's ODBC drivers as well as Birket's. I've always seen
consistency with the following results:

- ODBC/Link has more functionality
- ODBC/Link has consistently performs faster

HP's on the other hand

- Is part of FOS, if Image/SQL is resident on the system, therefore, no additional
   outlay of cash.
- Does perform well and actually suit the needs of many users. (Hell, I used it over a
14.4 Line PPP connection to our network, long distance, in Washington DC for a
BWRUG paper and it was a trooper).

Birket did say something to me recently about sending me an update to test...
(Birket: Hint...Hint...Hint :-) (Gee, I'm glad he has a sense of humor, maybe he'll
take time out from NECRUG to see this message :-)

Best,
Joe Geiser
