I hope someone can shed some light on this.
I'm working on a program written in C under the Posix shell on an
MPE/iX 5.0 system with Express 3 patches installed.
The problem is.. The system will not successfully complete a
system() call if I have called the DBOPEN intrinsic. The system()
call returns -1 and errno returns 11 which, according to errno.h
means resource busy.
If I put the system() call prior to the DBOPEN it works fine. I
tried putting the system() call after the appropriate DBCLOSE without
success, same error codes.
The catch is... I have to go to the database in order to determine
some of parameters for the system() call.
I have attached a code segment I was using to test my theories about
this behaviour... please forgive the lack of a DBCLOSE in the
example... I tested that scenario in the full program.
ARGH!
Thanks in advance,
Jim
