Hi all,

I wanted to thank all of those who responded. Most of the answers were on the
right track.

What did work was to alter the PUT command on the remote unix box as follows:

put  filex  "filex ;rec=-256,,f,ascii"

There were a lot of responses identifying the  ;REC=  option but the trick was
to put it in double
quotes as part of the TO FILE NAME.
