Thanks everybody, I just needed to know that if I use the external socket on
the MFIO card, its all part of the same channel 56/52.? path. The major
reason I ask is that its VERY remote, and without one (a 928)in front of me
that I could practice on to document the sequence, it would be difficult to
lead a non-mpe person through boot, ISL, ODE, Mapper etc.....I have enough
trouble getting people to accurately tell me the error messages they see in
Windows.
So if I see the current internal as
56/52.0.0
its on SCSI id 0? I though tapes were commonly on address 3?
 Ldevs 1 and 2 (internal drives ) are on 6 and 5, which makes sense....

Anyway, I feel more confident now.
