Howdy,
Two points.
1. here's our sysstart file:
STARTUP
STREAMS 10
STARTSPOOL 6
HEADON 6
OPENQ DEV=600
JOBSECURITY LOW
JOBPRI CS,DS
LIMIT 3,0
JOBFENCE 1
OUTFENCE 1
Note the HEADON 6. It has the same requirements as HEADOFF. It is owned by
manager.sys and kept on
ldev 1 but there is nothing else "special", no ALLOW's etc. Works quite
nicely - no errors - I don't get it.
2.
This sysstart file is so old it's got moss on it's gray hair. Years ago we
were forever monkying about with it until
I got tired of bringing up the system and some turkey, oops user, oops oops
customer would logon or it would
start the net or whatever that I did not want to occur or did not need at
that time 'cause I was performing mystic
system stuff. I moved all the mundane stuff to ready the system for general
use to a XEQ file. Now when
fooling about with the system it stays entirely mine until I'm ready to let
the unwashed masses, uhh users, on.
Just a matter of pheelozophy. Which is worth .02 centavos.
