The "spit balls" comment may be seen as rhetoric.
But the last time we had a President with the same ideas on the military as
kerry, the U.S. military was defeated by a group of renegade college
students.
The results were the same as if they had gone in with spit balls.
I never would have thought we could have a worse president than jimmy
carter. But kerry certainly raises that possibility.

I seem to recall the last rhetoric used had U.S. forces down to spitballs.
