As I understand you, your speaking of accuracy of control of the CPU on the
smaller systems. What about overhead? That is, does the change in the
interrupt handling cause a loss of performance (obviously, there must be some
cost to using the Workload manager, but the question is how much) and is this
a bigger problem on the smaller CPUs?
 
We are thinking of using it on a 967, which appears to be a midrange machine
these days.
