Upon further reflection, it seems that I posted about the DS1287
replacement to another list besides this one, and naturally I can’t find
the post now.

Still, all it covered was using CLKUTIL from the ISL prompt to set the
clock.  After that, the system should boot, and SETCLOCK from within MPE
should be able to change the date and time without issue.
