Subject: HUMOR--Inmate home improvement

A true story about the British "Great Train Robber" Ronnie Biggs who
spent time in jail for stealing millions of pounds of gold from a train:

The police hadn't found it yet and he got a letter from his wife saying,
"Hi, dear. I'm thinking of digging up the back garden to plant some
petunias."

Ronnie wrote back saying, "Under no conditions should you ever dig up the
back garden."

A week later she wrote back saying, "Strangely enough the police came round
a few days ago and dug the whole of the back garden up, but didn't find
anything."

So Ronnie wrote to her "Well, now you can plant your petunias."

Does anybody have any suggestions for using this paradigm to motivate
upper-level HP management to "schedule" some proactive HP3000 work?
Should we begin exchanging messages saying, "under no conditions should you
ever dig up the HP3000 garden"?
