Jeff

Drop to a DOS box, and type new view \\<machine-name> where machine name
is the name of your HP3000. It should be fully qualified with domain
stuff, unless you are part of the same domain.

You should see any Samba shares on the HP3000.

You can either map a network drive in explorer (\\machine-name\share),
or at the DOS box type net use * \\machine-name\share, and you should
have a new network drive that gives you access to the HP3000. (* means
assign the drive the next drive letter available)

Samba is astonishing!

Regards

Neil

Time for Yet Another Rookie Tries To Samba...

Things are setup correctly on the 3000 (apparently) since I can
see the
3000 and mount the example guest1 folder from an NT machine in
another
office (I have no NT, I have Win95).

From my machine (same network) I can neither see nor "Find
Computer..."
        the 3000.

I have the File Sharing for MS Networks client loaded; any clues
what
        is wrong with this picture?
