John,

Just some suggestions...

Try logging on at MANAGER.SYS;HIPRI;PRI=BS;PARM=-1

The BS to give you the best shot at the CPU and PARM=-1 to skip the logon UDC.

If you can get logged on, or get to a colon prompt from  a different session, check to see if there is any free space on the system volume.

Also, OPENQ @, and STARTSPOOL LP

Good Luck,

-Craig

N4000, mpe 7.5

Last look, about 12 sessions, couple of jobs.

Now when starting a new session, enter the password, no further response.
Console is OK, but logon attempts there give same result. Ctrl-b works ok . No msgs on console.
I do recall a day or so ago doing a "console 21" and probably not bringing it back to 20 - could this cause problem, and if so, how do I fix it?

System is running, seeing disc activity in a normal looking pattern.

Can telnet, but same result at login attempt.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks
John
