Basically, you would use MPE RESTORE command to dump to legible contents
to your system which would be a lite version of BACKUPPL and its
catalog. The run the backup program and invoke a restore against the
tape.
(....drawing from my ancient memory banks)

:file t;dev=tape
:restore *t;@[log in to unmask]@;CREATE=ACCOUNT
:RUN BACKUPPL.x.x (user will need at least OP capability)
>RESTORE *T; @[log in to unmask]@;SHOW;OLDATE
>EXIT

Subject: [HP3000-L] Orbit software

To all;
What is the process for restoring from one system to another using
Orbit software?
Is there a DR option that allows you to restore on a system where
Orbit isn't allowed?
Is it the use of another backup file? Something like RESTBACK?
Thanks,
Jeff
